The Library at Amity University Dubai is more like an Integrated Knowledge Resource Centre that is stocked with thousands of books, periodicals, national and international journals covering all aspects of academic studies and research material. Amity Library also offers access to over 10,000 online academic and research journals.
The specialized laboratories at Amity University Dubai are equipped to conduct advanced practical research work. It ensures that students get practical experience with equipment and methods that they will use in the industry.

Healthy nutrition is needed for all-round performance and to energies tired minds. Amity University Dubai campus has a multi-mix of food outlets offering nutritious and wholesome food to ensure a well-balanced diet.
SPORTS & FITNESS FACILITIES
Amity University Dubai endeavors to inculcate a winning attitude in students by encouraging them to participate in various sports activities. Sports facilities include football ground, tennis and basketball courts, Swimming pool, multipurpose sports hall, and Gym.
To ensure the students and staff safety, Amity University has 24 x 7 security services on campus. Amity University also has surveillance cameras on campus for the security of students.

The above Hostel Fees are for the period from Sept 16 to June 17. Any extended stay will be charged additionally on a pro-rata basis. Hostel fee is payable to the university in advance and non-refundable.

Getting involved in clubs and societies during your time on campus is the best way to meet new people, connect with your studies outside the classroom, and ensures you make Amity all it can be. Amity University has a number of Clubs because we believe in the value they provide the students. We are better resourced to help you create great events, experiences and networks that will last a lifetime. By joining a club or society, you take away more than a degree from the Amity University. You will meet people that share similar interests and will be able to create social and professional networks.
Dubai is one of the best places to live amongst the metropolitan cities of the world. Dubai is known to have the fastest growing economy and attracts people from all over the world. Having everything from the best of trends to culture rich ethos, Dubai is a hub of multi-cultured people finding variety and familiarity in this city.
Dubai weather is sub-tropical climate which means residents enjoy joys of pleasant winters and sunny summers alike. An average temperature in Dubai during winters is 20 degree Celsius while a summer is 30 degree Celsius. Precipitation, however, has been increasing in the last few decades, with accumulated rain reaching 94.3 mm per year.
How to get around
Dubai’s local public transport is operated by the Roads & Transport Authority and consists of the Dubai metro, buses, water buses and abras (water taxis).
Dubai’s metro opened in 2010 and has proved a popular service.
Red Line Runs for 52.1km from near Dubai International Airport to Jebel Ali past Dubai Marina, mostly paralleling Sheikh Zayed Road.
Green Line Runs for 22.5km, linking the Dubai Airport Free Zone with Dubai Healthcare City.
Closest metro station to Academic City is Rashidiya.
The RTA operates local buses on 79 routes primarily serving the needs of low-income commuters. Buses are clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and cheap.
Most people get around Dubai and Abu Dhabi via taxis.In Dubai, taxis are operated by Dubai Taxi Corporation and are metered, relatively inexpensive and the fastest and most comfortable way to get around.
Abras are motorised traditional boats linking Bur Dubai and Deira across the Creek on two routes:
Route 1 Bur Dubai Abra Station to Deira Old Souq Abra Station; daily between 5am and midnight.
Route 2 Dubai Old Souq Abra Station to Al-Sabkha Abra Station around the clock.
Eating and Entertainment
Dubai offers students a way to enjoy their education with travel, culture, and recreation. Dubai is home to some of the world's finest restaurants and offers unparalleled dining experiences and a variety of cuisines and cooking styles. When it comes to recreation and leisure, Dubai offers a plethora of options from shopping malls, amusement parks to concerts. Waterparks, dessert safaris and camping, trekking trips to Hajjar Mountains and other adrenaline-fueled activities are an obvious choice. Dubai also has a handful of parks with picnic areas and playgrounds for sporting activities. Dubai offers plenty of entertainment for youngsters, much of it extravagant in novelty value.
About Amity University Dubai Library
The Amity University Dubai Library was established in 2011. The Library caters to all the students and faculty of Amity University Dubai to pursue their study and research. Teaching and research Programs of the Colleges are supported by the Library by acquiring and making available of relevant print and non-print materials.

Collections Of Library
The Library has excellent print as well as non-print collections. The library has more than 5700 books covering various areas such as Humanities, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing Management, Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Forensic Science, Engineering, Nuclear Science and Technology. The library also subscribes magazines and daily newspapers. They may be in print form as well as an online form. The library also has the collection of theses submitted by the students.
Electronic Database (Online Library) @ Amizone
Amity University Dubai library subscribes to various electronic databases like EBSCO, Cambridge University Press, IEEE Xplore, Oxford University Press, Institute of Physics, Nature Journal, Portland Press, Royal Society of Chemistry, Springer, Taylor & Francis, American Institute of Physics, ACM Digital Library and Digital Commons (bpress) databases. Contact the librarian for the user id and password for access t o these databases.
Circulation Service & Loan Duration
Each student can have maximum check outs of three reference books and due date for the same is fifteen days. Also have maximum checkouts of two journals (back issues), Book Companions – CD's at a time and due date for the same is two days from the date of issue. Faculty can have maximum checkout of ten books and due date for the same is Four months. Also have maximum checkouts of five journals (back issues), two book Companions – CD's at a time and due date for the same is two days from the date of issue. Administrative Staff can have maximum check out of five books and due date for the same is one month. Also have maximum checkouts of three journals (back issues), two book Companions – CD's at a time and due date for the same is two days from the date of issue.
Library Monthly Activicties
A love of reading and familiarity with the library can play a big role in students' academic success. Keep the library interesting and fun with an assortment of monthly activities that will draw students of all ages. With a little imagination, show students that you don't have to be a "nerd" to enjoy all the library has to offer.

General Rules Of The Library
› Silence should be maintained in the Library.
› Spitting, smoking and other offensive or objectionable practices are strictly prohibited.
› Cell phones should be switched off or kept in the silent mode within Library premises.
› AUD ID Cards should be shown at entrance & also on demand whenever there is a check.
› Library ID cards/borrower cards are not transferable. Books are issued against borrower cards only on production of their own Library ID card.
› On completion of course No dues Certificate will be issued only on surrender of Library ID card / borrower's card.
› Overdue charges will be collected if book is not returned by due date.
› If a book is lost borrower is responsible to replace the book or pay latest market price. If a title is out of print price will be charged as per Library norms.
› Overdue charges Fine of AED 1 / day will be collected from the students.
› Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday : 9.00 a.m. to 05.30 p.m.
› Monday – Wednesday: 10.30 am to 7.00 pm
› Friday & Saturday Closed
