Criteria: A minimum 50% aggregate in grades X and XII, along with a 3 year undergraduate degree and 2 year post graduate degree in forensic sciences and related areas, from a recognised university with a 50% aggregate, or the equivalent.		Academic Year 2022

Programme description

This programme is best suited for student’s that possess various logical and analytical skills, time management skills and managerial skills. After completing this course, students can opt for jobs in various fields within Universities or move into Biomedical Research, Forensic Consultanting, Forensic Science Research and more.

Designed to ensure that students master forensic science and its interdisciplinary areas through exploration, and examination of forensic sub-disciplines and emerging techniques, including DNA forensics and forensic chemistry, among others.

A major emphasis of the programme is the development and completion of a research problem that involves advanced techniques and concepts, culminating in an oral defense of the Ph.D. dissertation. The objective of the PhD programme in Forensic Science is to prepare students to work as professionals in academia, government laboratories, or in a private organisation as laboratory specialists.
