Amity University Dubai is looking for a qualified Library Assistant to manage its University Library.
Qualification
- Candidates must have a Master's Degree in the related field from a recognised university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a University Library.
Key Responsibilities :
- To assist in the day-to-day running of the library.
- Catalogue and classify library resources in compliance with policies, procedures, and processes.
- To supervise students in their use of the library facilities.
- Keeping the library tidy and shelving materials in the correct order.
- To assist with entering data into the library computer system.
- To assist with creating displays of library resources, producing library newsletters, and promoting materials.
- Handle the registration of new library card holders and issue library cards.
- Teach people how to use the library resources.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date, accurate, and comprehensive library resources database.
- Respond to user inquiries related to the campus library in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
- Maintain the Library and Learning Centre website.
- Manage inter-college loan transactions and prepare and communicate overdue notices as and when needed.
- Perform routine tasks such as answering phone calls and organising files.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
