Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness (QAIE) Office includes two units; Academic Quality Assurance Unit and Institutional Research Unit. QAIE is responsible for emphasizing institutional planning and effectiveness, administering institutional research, planning and overseeing university-wide outcomes based assessment activities which help in promoting a culture of quality and effectiveness as well as providing valuable support to the University in the strategic planning process. The QAIE team is headed by the Vice President who reports directly to the President. QAIE oversees AMUD’s Institutional Research, Institutional Planning and Effectiveness, Accreditation and University Ranking, and Quality Assurance.

The QAIE maintains a Quality Assurance Manual that gives direction and suggestions to academic, administrative and support units to enhance and improve assessment processes within the context of continuous quality improvement. The manual provides necessary templates/forms required to periodically assess outcomes and use these results to make necessary changes for continuous improvement in the academic and administrative units. Consequently, the main goal is to measure the level of achievement among academic programs and the University, in order to establish plans for remedial actions as well as encouraging and adopting best practices in teaching and learning.
