The university is committed to the health, safety, and well-being of everyone on campus. We adhere to all UAE regulations, including those from Dubai International Academic City (DIAC).
Additionally, our campus is secured round the clock with 24/7 security services to guarantee the safety of our community.
We are dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive campus environment. Our services include maintaining a directory of healthcare providers, offering wellness workshops, and collaborating with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) office to promote health and safety across the university community.
Health Care Services
Amity University Dubai benefits from its prime location within DIAC, offering easy access to a variety of medical facilities dedicated to the health and well-being of students and staff. Nearby healthcare services include Aster Clinic, Life Medical Centre, HealthHub Clinic, Symbiosis Medical Centre, Medi Family Poly Clinic, Medicure, and Fakeeh University Hospital, all catering to the community's healthcare needs.
Emergency and Safety Services
Amity University Dubai is committed to campus health and safety through emergency preparedness and response measures. Our campus collaborates with Dubai’s ambulance services, managed by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), for rapid medical response in emergencies. We also have a nurse on call 24/7 in case of emergencies.
Fire and Safety Protocols
We maintain comprehensive fire and life safety systems across the campus, supported by regular maintenance and risk management audits. Dedicated staff members are trained in firefighting and CPR, ensuring they are prepared to respond in emergencies. Fire drills are conducted each semester to familiarise students and faculty with safety procedures, helping to maintain a secure environment for our entire campus community.
First aid on campus
First aid kits are stationed at various locations across campus for immediate medical assistance. Many of our staff and faculty are trained in first aid, including CPR, to ensure quick response in emergencies.
Health insurance
During 2014 and 2016, DHA (Dubai Health Authority) implemented a law that requires all residents of Dubai to have a basic health insurance.
Amity University Dubai provides assistance with health insurance. Alternatively, individuals can also arrange for their own cover as deemed fit.
