At the intersection of academia, industry, and leadership stands Dr. Fathy Elmahgoob Hamam, an academic leader, researcher, and higher education professional with more than 23 years of experience spanning university teaching, academic administration, curriculum development, quality assurance, and institutional leadership across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Holding a PhD in Business Administration (Marketing Management), he combines extensive academic expertise with practical industry insight in Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Operations, Hospitality, and Digital Marketing.
Lastly serving as Academic Dean at QE2 Government Academy in Dubai, Dr. Hamam leads academic strategy, program quality, curriculum innovation, faculty development, and learner success initiatives. Throughout his career, he has held senior academic leadership positions including Academic Director, Program Coordinator, and Assistant Professor, contributing significantly to institutional growth, accreditation readiness, and professional education across the GCC region.
As an educator, Dr. Hamam has taught undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive-level courses in Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Digital Marketing, Event Management, Leadership, Research Methods, and Operations Management. His teaching philosophy is built on experiential learning, industry engagement, and applied research that prepares students to address contemporary business challenges while developing critical thinking, leadership, and professional competencies.
An active researcher and published scholar, Dr. Hamam's research explores contemporary issues in leadership, sustainability, employee behaviour, hospitality management, service quality, workplace wellbeing, and digital transformation. His recent publications focus on servant leadership, green leadership, employee voice behaviour, emotional exhaustion, and organisational performance within service industries. He is also the author of several academic books including Hospitality & Tourism Management, Service Marketing, and Purchasing and Storing Techniques, while actively developing new work on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing in Tourism.
With extensive experience supporting quality assurance initiatives and accreditation frameworks, including CAA and AACSB-related activities, Dr. Hamam continues to contribute to academic excellence through curriculum innovation, faculty mentoring, student success initiatives, and industry-academic collaboration. He welcomes opportunities for research partnerships, consultancy projects, executive training, and academic cooperation across business, management, hospitality, and leadership disciplines.
