With over 20 years of professional experience across academia, therapeutic practice, and corporate environments, Dr. Loveena Arickswamy is a distinguished psychologist, educator, and counselor dedicated to advancing mental health and emotional well-being.


Her research focuses on self-conscious emotions, emotional regulation, and psychological well-being among women cancer patients. Dr. Loveena integrates academic rigor with therapeutic practice to foster a transformative mental health culture within higher education. She is also a certified life coach, hypnotherapist, and NLP practitioner, passionately guiding students and young adults to discover purpose, resilience, and self-awareness.


Her therapeutic approach, rooted in Positive Psychology, emphasises mindfulness, gratitude, and strength-based interventions—helping individuals enhance emotional resilience and cultivate fulfilling lives. As a Psycho-Oncologist, she provides compassionate counseling and emotional support to cancer patients and their families, helping them navigate the psychological challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.


Beyond academia, Dr. Loveena is deeply engaged in community outreach and mental health advocacy. She leads awareness programmes across schools, universities, and corporate organisations, focusing on reducing stigma, promoting emotional intelligence, and empowering individuals with practical mental wellness tools.


A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA, UK) and a Member of the Counsellor Council of India, Dr. Loveena has also been featured as a guest on platforms such as Fuse with Ken, discussing vital topics like Parenting in the Age of the Internet and The Psychology of Relationships.


In addition to her academic and counseling work, she has been an entrepreneur and has held various leadership positions, where she demonstrated excellence in organisational management, mentoring, and capacity building. She also serves as a spiritual mentor and caregiver within a multicultural church community, offering emotional and spiritual guidance to people from diverse backgrounds.
