Dr. Reena George is a distinguished academic and the Programme Leader and Assistant Professor for the Bachelor of Hotel Management and the Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Administration at Amity University Dubai. With a Doctorate in Tourism, she is a leading expert in the field. Dr. Reena’s research portfolio includes copyrighted works, a published book, and numerous case studies and journal articles, covering various facets of the tourism industry. Her extensive career spans over two decades, combining both industry and academic experience.


Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Reena has collaborated with top global brands in the tourism sector, holding key positions across multiple countries and managing diverse aspects of the holiday market. Her research primarily focuses on rejuvenating tourism and hospitality products, especially in the context of technological disruptions. In addition, her expertise extends to Tourism Product Management, team supervision, client relations, vendor negotiations, public relations, branding, office administration, and itinerary design.


Dr. Reena is deeply involved in academics, where she trains postgraduate students, guides interns, conducts faculty development programs, and delivers specialised lectures on innovations in tourism. Having visited over 30 countries for seminars, workshops, and familiarisation trips, she possesses a global perspective on tourism trends and practices. She is also proficient in online travel booking tools, holiday product development, and Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and holds several certifications in country-specific tourism specialisations, reinforcing her dedication to continuous learning and professional development.


Her career reflects a strong commitment to integrating academic knowledge with practical expertise, making significant contributions to the advancement of the tourism and hospitality industries.
