Dr. Sathish Kannan is the Dean of School of Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design at Amity University Dubai, where he also serves as the Chairman of the University Research Committee. Before joining Amity University Dubai, he held the position of Engineering Program Manager at Rolls-Royce plc (UK), leading global programme teams responsible for aerospace propulsion-related products supporting the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A380/A350 XWB fleet.
Following this, Dr. Kannan was appointed as Design and Manufacturing Engineering faculty at the American University of Sharjah where he also served as a professional internship coordinator.
Dr. Kannan earned a doctoral degree from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, and completed an industrial post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge, UK. He is a senior engineering fellow of the Royal Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), member of the Global Engineering Deans Council, and highly qualified personnel of AUTO 21 Canada.
