Dr. Shaista Alvi has over two decades of international work experience in the industry. Her various assignments have seen her in senior management leadership positions in local and international banks with specialization in corporate lending, credit management, trade finance, credit insurance, focusing on emerging markets together with a thorough knowledge of markets, their culture and the associated challenges.
She was awarded a PhD in Business Administration with a thesis focus on Basel II recommendation implication on Indian banks and UAE Banks. She has completed her Intermediate from The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), a professional accountancy body in India. She is certified in Corporate Credit Credit Analysis and Financial Analysis and has completed the Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economics course from Harvard University /Harvadx.
