Amity University Dubai Research Paper Achieves Top Honour

Amity University Dubai is delighted to announce that Dr. Siddharth K S and his aerospace and mechanical engineering students, Ms. Aafrein Faazil Begam and Ms. Farhat Nuha Abdul Rahim, have published a notable paper in a leading Q1 journal from the American Institute of Physics.


Their paper, Unraveling the Near Vicinity Pressure Field of a Transversely Spinning Cricket Ball,  has been recognised as the best article in the Physics of Fluids journal and recently topped Google Scholar metrics.


The research has attracted considerable attention on social media and has been highlighted in several news articles.


This achievement reflects Amity University Dubai’s commitment to advancing high-quality research. The university currently supports around 150 undergraduate research students and 85 senior research affiliates from international universities, reflecting its growing influence in the UAE research landscape.
