Amity University’s Grad Show 2025 Dazzles with Innovation and Emotion

May 28, 2025

Amity University’s Grad Show 2025 brought together the creative fire of its final-year fashion design students in a breathtaking runway showcase that celebrated bold storytelling, innovation, and cultural pride.

From ethereal forests to evocative streetwear, each collection was a unique expression of identity and artistry. Standout accolades were awarded to designers who demonstrated exceptional skill and vision.

Kritika Kharel took home the Best Collection Award for Saraswati’s Aura, a poetic homage to the multifaceted power of womanhood. Her designs drew from symbols like the lotus, swan, and peacock, blending grace with inner strength and wisdom.

The Garment Construction Award was presented to Ayesha Amal for Misk Al Khaleej, a textured celebration of Arab culture. Detailing inspired by seven elements signature to the Arab world—Oud, pearl diving, the date tree, basket weave, royalty, resilience, and the desert—was brought to life through smocking, embroidery, and fabric painting.

Pushing creative boundaries, Chelsea Mae Dumagpi earned the Most Innovative Design award for The Ringmaster’s Asylum. Drawing on childhood memories and emotional growth, this collection fused circus aesthetics with psychological symbolism, revealing beauty in chaos.

Voted by the audience, Christian Leyson won the Viewer’s Choice Award for Undefined, a gritty, fearless blend of grunge and streetwear. With oversised silhouettes and raw textures, his work stood out as an unapologetic statement of self-expression.

The show featured the following designers:
Dhiya Hanan (Whispers of Monet), Kritika Kharel (Saraswati’s Aura), Vasavi Santhosh (Mystic Grove), Ayesha Amal (Misk Al Khaleej), Niranjana Menon (Divine Arches), Christian Leyson (Undefined), Samrah Rafeek (Elfhame), Chelsea Mae (The Ringmaster’s Asylum), Hira Asad (Cross Culturism), Ayesha Tariq (Petal Serenade), Shamsa Al Shehi (Zayed’s Daughter), Nitha Abbas (Aranya), and Nashwa Ahmed Kabeer (Velvet Hour).

With dreams stitched into every seam, the Grad Show 2025 was more than a fashion show—it was a celebration of resilience, heritage, and future-forward design. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 for making fashion history!
