The School of Architecture & Interior Design proudly celebrates the achievement of twelve B.Arch students from Semesters 8 and 10 who successfully completed "The Design Challenge for Climate Action Pavilion." The challenge, which began in February 2025 and concluded on July 9 at Gensler's Dubai office in Alserkal Avenue, was part of the prestigious Inter-University Global Inclusion Showcase 2025, themed “Every Design Tells a Story.”
The event brought together creative minds from universities across the MENA region, forming 12 diverse teams. Each group was mentored by experienced architects and designers from Gensler’s Dubai and KSA branches. The collaboration led to a series of compelling, forward-thinking solutions focused on climate-responsive design.
Students had the unique opportunity to engage directly with professionals from the world’s largest architecture firm, Gensler—headquartered in San Francisco, California. Their mentorship empowered students to explore innovative approaches to sustainable architecture and inclusive design.
The event not only provided hands-on learning in a professional setting but also strengthened the participants’ design thinking, presentation, and teamwork skills. The showcased work highlighted a promising future for sustainable design and young talent in the region.
The School commends its students for their creativity, commitment, and impactful storytelling through architecture.
