January 10, 2025

In an effort to promote sustainability, the STEM Club, EAID, organised an insightful seminar titled "Grease to Green: Recycling Used Cooking Oil for a Sustainable Future," led by Dr. Archana Pandita. The seminar, held in collaboration with Kinetic Used Cooking Oil Trading, was led by Mr. Sanjay, a representative from Kinetic UAE.

Mr. Sanjay highlighted the significant environmental and economic benefits of recycling used cooking oil, emphasising its potential to reduce waste and conserve resources. He provided practical insights into the recycling process, explaining how used cooking oil can be repurposed into valuable products, including biodiesel and animal feed.

The session also focused on strategies to raise awareness about eco-conscious practices among students, encouraging them to adopt sustainable habits in their daily lives. In alignment with the UAE Vision 2030, the seminar inspired students to engage in environmental conservation and explore industry collaboration opportunities.

This interactive and educational event not only deepened students’ understanding of sustainability but also fostered a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment. By learning about innovative recycling solutions, students were motivated to make a positive impact and contribute to a greener future.
