Orientation 2025: A Comprehensive Start to University Life at Amity University Dubai

February 12, 2025

Amity University Dubai recently hosted two orientations for its Spring Intake 2025 students. These events were designed to help new students transition smoothly into university life by providing important information about academics, student services, and campus resources.

The CAA Spring Intake Orientation, held on January 29th and 30th, introduced students to the academic programmes and departments at the university.

Day 1 featured presentations from Deans and Department Heads, offering a comprehensive overview of the various disciplines available, such as Business, Engineering, Architecture & Interior Design, and Humanities, Arts & Applied Sciences. Students were also briefed on the university's mission, vision, and overall approach to education, ensuring they understood the values and goals that shape their academic experience.

In addition to academic insights, the orientation covered essential student services that would support their university journey. The university’s Student Handbook, campus policies, and student support services were discussed to ensure students are aware of the resources available to them. The event also highlighted the extracurricular opportunities, from sports to student clubs and events, which aim to enrich the student experience beyond academics. Students were encouraged to make the most of these opportunities to foster personal growth and build a well-rounded university experience.

Day 2 of the orientation focused on familiarising students with the practical aspects of university life, including departmental functions, resources like the Library and Resource Centre (LRC), and the exciting entrepreneurial opportunities available through the university's Incubation Centre. Students had the chance to engage in discussions, ask questions, and learn how they could actively participate in university life, both academically and socially.

Both days were designed to provide students with a strong foundation for their academic and personal development at Amity University Dubai. By covering a wide range of topics—from academic programmes and student services to extracurricular activities and community-building—these events ensured that students were well-prepared to embark on their university journey.
