In the UAE, the hotel industry is experiencing dynamic growth with the advent of large international chains and it is expected to hire 337 million professionals by 2023. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council, 347 million jobs will be created over the next 10 years, making the travel and tourism industry a global leader in the employment sector

Programme description

This programme will provide a learning platform for the students to learn the technical and operative skills required by hospitality industry. During the programme the student will learn the technical skills of the core operation of hospitality like Front Office, Food Production, Accommodation Operation and F & B Service along with general management skills. During the programme students will learn through hands-on experience, on the job training and research. Students will also undergo one semester for industrial training where they will get industrial exposure.

Career opportunities

There are rewarding employment options in the hotel industry. Graduates are welcomed by hotel chains, restaurant, cruise ships, institutional and industrial catering, clubs, airlines and banks, and insurance houses.

Learning outcome 1

Students will be able to demonstrate systematic knowledge and understanding of Hospitality

 

Concepts, by understanding the core departments in hospitality, which is the front office, accommodation, housekeeping or operations, F&B service, F&B Production and Culinary Art.

Students will be able to think critically, creatively, and demonstrate curiosity to discover new product offering and services to satisfy the customer.

Students will be able to speak proficiently, clearly and effectively.
