Amity Law School, Amity University Dubai, invites research contributions to the Amity Law Journal (ALJ). We welcome original research papers, reviews, case studies, and perspectives related to law and interdisciplinary areas.

ALJ provides a platform for researchers, academics, and legal practitioners to publish innovative research. This bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal, published by Amity University Dubai, aims to meet the needs of the global legal community and promote awareness of diverse legal systems and studies.

Author Guidelines

ALJ is a peer-reviewed journal catering to the global legal community. We publish research articles and case studies on contemporary legal issues. Submissions are invited in the following categories:

• Articles: Topics related to legal studies and their applications (4,000-6,000 words). Include an abstract (250-300 words) and 5-10 keywords.
• Short Articles: Discussions advancing ideas or initiating analytical debate on law (2,500-3,500 words). Include an abstract (200 words) and 3-7 keywords.
• Book Reviews: Reviews of new or revised books on legal studies (1,000-1,500 words).
• Case Reviews: Analysis of significant legal cases.

Formatting Guidelines

• Font: Times New Roman or Calibri
• Font Size: 11 (Main Text), 10 (Footnotes)
• Spacing: Single (Main Text); 1 inch (Footnotes)
• Numbers: Spell out numbers under 100, except percentages
• Perspective: Avoid using the first person
• Pagination: Number all pages
• Date Format: Use a uniform format (e.g., 10 December 2016)
• Headings:


• First Heading: Numbered, centred
• Second Heading: Left-aligned, bold
• Third Heading: Left-aligned, italicized


• Sections: Include an ‘Introduction’ and ‘Conclusion’
• Word Limit: Adhere to limits, excluding footnotes
• References: Follow the Chicago Manual of Style

Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors must obtain necessary permissions before submission. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
