The School of Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design at Amity University Dubai proudly launched its initiative to create a single-use plastic-free campus. The kickoff event took place on October 1, 2024, attracting enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.
This campaign aims to support the UAE Vision 2030, emphasising environmental sustainability and the reduction of plastic waste. The initiative aims to foster awareness and inspire sustainable practices across the campus.
During the event, attendees learned about the importance of reducing single-use plastics and the impact of plastic waste on the environment. The initiative featured three challenges, and nine winners were announced, highlighting innovative ideas and solutions proposed by participants. Special thanks to our project partners SPRUDEL, RECAPP, and the jury members for their support and contributions.
